I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent most of my life sulking, looking around and counting other people’s blessings, without paying heed to my own.
That, my friend, is a trap many of us fall into and find it hard getting out of.
We must realise that everyone has their own individuality.
We are put on this earth to achieve a certain purpose.
Everyone has their own scripted destiny and comparing ourselves to others rids our heart of joy and appreciation for life.
Maybe someone else achieved their dreams sooner than you did,
Maybe he/she got their perfect love, while you’re still single,
But that does not make your story any less special.
We achieve a certain goal and we rarely stop and thank God for the success or improvement we’ve made.
Instead we set a new target, and a new one after that,
And so we go through life feeling empty and unfulfilled.
Count your blessings, every day.
Gratefulness is something which is to be practiced regularly in order for us to be truly happy.
It takes a few minutes to stop what you are doing and be thankful for life,
You never know if there is a tomorrow.
So stop trying to be perfect, nobody is.
Accept your imperfections, be kind and spread joy,
That is the true purpose of life.
