When A Child Is Born.

I learnt the keyboard for a few months, 11 years ago, so I know how to play only a handful of songs. Thereafter I picked up the guitar.

‘When a child is born’ is a Christmas carol I played for the Christmas carol competition which used to be held annually at my school. I played the keyboard while the rest of the class sang.

Here’s the YouTube video of me playing the carol on the keyboard :

We had 3 classes in each grade, and each class had to perform a different carol. My class, along with another, tied at first place in the competition. It was absolutely thrilling.

When I had played this in school, in front of a gathering of 2,000 kids, I didn’t feel scared at all. I was unfazed, and the crowd didn’t bother me.

If you ask me to play in front of a crowd now, I will end up freezing on stage. I am mortally afraid of crowds and the fact that I am socially anxious doesn’t make things easier. Haha.

I know it’s not Christmas time, but I love listening to carols all year round. Hope you enjoyed listening to the me play.

Thank you for reading! Stay blessed!

  1. Very nice! My wife has a private piano studio here in our home. She has been teaching piano for many years. I play guitar too.😊 Our daughter plays French Horn and piano, and our son is learning piano too. God bless!

    1. Wow! A family of musicians, so lovely! 😍
Music brings people together, just like God. Would love to hear all of you play. 😊

          1. Hey check your spam. It might have a comment from me. This happens to me all the time you know😐

            1. Hehe yes, it was in spam. 😁 Even when I comment a lot my comments sometimes go to spam. Once I actually felt hurt because I thought someone deleted my comment. πŸ˜‚πŸ™ˆ

              1. I also feel bad when someone doesn’t check spam often because I do and make sure I check everyone’s comments. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

        1. Oh I see. I was from a Convent school, so Christmas celebrations and competitions were there each year.
I’m sure your Church would be having different activities during Christmas, right?
