The Price Of Kindness.

You speak the truth, no matter how sweet,

But they aren't used to hearing it, so they think that you're weak.

You're viewed as a fool, a complicated joke,

It's funny the humiliation one heart has to soak.

Why has kindness become a negative trait, I wish I knew,

So that I'd give up the self-sabotage by taking the cue.

My eyes shed no tears, my heart not betrayed,

For the price of kindness I have once again paid.

Thank you for reading! Stay blessed!
